Ever since Plato, a tragic conception of the human self has been point de depart moral and political philosophy: I we belong to one another yet oppose each other. Ancients such as Aristotle contended that is ontologically prior moderns Hobbes prior. make case Jesus Christ realised an ontology which collapses this dichotomy: neither nor we, but fundamentally I-we. demonstrate gift-dynamics, made explicit in mythical complex cult centring on Christ, engraved unto cult's heart through ritual.
